Mr. Goodstein has twenty four years of experience as a trial and appellate attorney representing corporations, individuals and municipalities in high-stakes business disputes involving commercial contracts, partnerships, shareholder and LLC agreements, insurance coverage and real estate. Combining a background in creative writing with an intensely analytical legal acumen, the ability to synthesize complex and confusing facts and legal principles into a compelling story is the hallmark of his practice. Representative matters include obtaining a $22.5 million judgment in a case involving bribery of public officials; defending a real estate investment LLC manager accused of breach of fiduciary duty; defending a trustee against claims of fraud and breach of fiduciary duty in the administration of an estate; defending the owners of a Hollywood production company against claims of fraud and breach of contract; representing the owner of a vitamin manufacturing company who was defrauded in the sale of his business; representing a business owner in the threatened dissolution of a plush toy manufacturer; representing a municipality in a commercial lease dispute involving a unique public landmark; representing property owners in commercial unlawful detainer actions; and representing healthcare insurance companies sued by medical groups for alleged breach of provider reimbursement agreements.
